At P&G, New Tide Comes In, Old Price Goes Up
Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) is trying to stave off a receding Tide.
To compensate
for the introduction of a lower-end version of its big-selling Tide
detergent, P&G is raising prices on some fancier Tide varieties by
as much as 25%.
The goal is to
preserve margins while heading off competition from lower-cost rivals.
The detergent, in its signature reddish-orange containers, brings in
around $2.8 billion in annual sales and holds a commanding 38% share of

Meet the Lykoi Cat, a New Breed That's Scary Cute. Like Werewolf Scary
Feline-phobes beware. If you are the type who avoids crossing paths with a black cat or suspects your kitty is just waiting for you to die so it can tuck into an oversized buffet meal of your body, there's a new breed that may give you nightmares. The Lykoi cat,
with its patchy gray fur and huge golden eyes has the distinct
appearance of being a tiny werewolf, and its name derives from the word

The Biggest Mistakes You're Making with Your Dishwasher
When it comes to convenience, dishwashers can't be beat, but it's all for naught if you're not using it right. Use these tips to get the most out of your machine and say goodbye to stuck-on messes for good.
1. Overloading.
If you try to pile in too many dishes, you'll end up having to do twice the work. If dishes are blocked and water can't reach them, then they won't get clean.
2. Arranging dishes incorrectly.
You'll want to be strategic when loading the dishwasher. Put the most heavily soiled items in the center of the bottom rack facing the spray arm. And make sure nothing big is blocking the detergent dispenser; it could impact how it opens and keep dishwasher detergent from being dispensed properly.
